Laying on perculating / draining base: - Remove topsoil until solid subsoil is reached. To ensure good drainage we recommend grading the subsoil to a slight incline to force underground drainage. - Fill in with clean layer of gravel type material to required thickness and compact in layers as necessary. - Place mats on gravel bed using kerb edges and optional layer system as shown to create a firm semi-lattice bond to stop mats moving. - Insert dowels into fixing holes and interlock adjoining mats as they are laid. - Cut mats with sharp knife or power-saw (circular or jig-saw) Laying on solid base: - Make sure drainage of the existing base is adequate - If necessary, modify laying plan to prevent movement - Lay mats as above and anchor using kerb edges or additional layer system Additional layer system: PVC Plate - dimensions 150 x 150 x 2 mm (incl. adhesive) Mounting the layer system: - Use a silicon gun and evenly apply supplied PU adhesive on the PVC slab. - Apply adhesive beneath each joint within the semi-lattice bond on the foundation slab. - Do not apply adhesive to the solid base |
