Horsebox and Trailer Floor Mats

Depending on the weight and type of vehicle, it is important to choose the correct mats. Firstly, they
should not be too heavy for the box, should provide a safe footing for horse and human, not move in
use and be easily removed for cleaning and inspection of the underlying floor.

Again, we have various mats to meet the requirement of each vehicle:

Standard Floor Mats
For heavier weight lorries, we suggest using either 17mm or 12mm
thick standard stable mats. By laying the mats with grooves upwards,
running along the box, fluid can be directed to one end and cleaning
is simply a matter of washing and sweeping from front to back.
We've found that by using 6ft x 4ft mats most lorry boxes can be
fitted with ease.

Roll Floor Mats
For lighter weight boxes and trailers, a thinner mat can be used.
These are lighter, and so need to cover a larger area to ensure they
do not move in transit. We can supply Broad Ribbed Rubber Matting
in 1.2m to 2m wide roll form, in thicknesses from 4.5mm and 6mm
(fabric reinforced for strength) up to 9.5mm thick. Special production
is possible to produce these mats at up to 20mm thickness, however
handling and total weight must then be considered. While we can
supply some of these mats in different rib designs and colours the
norm is Black.
