Laying on perculating / draining base: - Remove topsoil until solid subsoil is reached. To ensure good drainage we recommend grading the subsoil to a slight incline to force underground drainage. - For long path runs, a suitable drainage system (ie French Drain) may be required, running adjacent to the path. - Fill in with clean layer of gravel type material to required thickness and compact in layers as necessary. - Place blocks on gravel / sand bed and facilitate laying by using additional shaping system (kerbing) to create a firm semi-lattice bond. Laying on solid subsoil: - Make sure there is sufficient drainage in the existing solid subsoil - if not provide drainage by trenching, piping etc where neccessary. - Place blocks on a gravel or sand bed and facilitate laying by using additional shaping system (kerbing) to create a firm semi-lattice bond. |
