Semi-Heavy Duty Grass Protection Mesh

While our Heavy Duty Grass Protection Mesh will take up to 8tonnes axle weight, 2006 saw the
introduction of a new Semi-Heavy material. Based on the same type of production method to the Heavy
Duty, this material is designed for permanent protection, where lighter duty vehicles with axle weights
up to 4tonnes are being used.

The mesh has been used successfully for horses and ponies in less extreme circumstances - simple
walkways, under field shelters, under menages and for box and trailer parks. Being a new material we
are still waiting for field results on heavier duty applications, but to date, performance reports are very
good.

As with all our mesh products, the use of long 6mm dia steel pins ensures tightness to the ground while
grass systems grow in and the mat becomes embedded. Using a roller or vibro-roller on newly laid
mesh will help bed the material for immediate use.
